PROJECT 13: PORTFOLIO

Description:

Create a final PDF of your work using InDesign. Every single project, including a cover, back-cover, index, and for the animation, a series of stills that would represent in the best possible way your time based projects. The stop motion and audio will be able to be added on your final version of this document. 


For the final project, I created a portfolio to summarize everything we have done this semester.

PROJECT 12: AUDIO

Description:

Using Garage Band create the soundtrack for your animation, using loops. Create sound effects and loops.


For the audio project, I used Garage Band to create a background track for my stop motion video project.

PROJECT 11: ANIMATION

PROJECT 11: ANIMATION

Description:

Shoot 60-90 images of a concept of your own creation. Create a 45 second minimum / 400×300px / 10fps / frame x frame animation using Photoshop. Export it as a QT video with Animation compression. Edits to images will be completed in Photoshop as well to modify frames. 


For the animation project, I used Adobe Photoshop to create a stop motion video to make it look like a can of shaving cream is moving across a table.

Description:

Using the works of Irina Wernin as an inspiration, create one short MorphX animation of yourselves in two separate periods of your life. Recreate a childhood photo now. Use both of these to create your animation.


For the MorphX animation, I made a transition video from a picture of me as a baby to an image of me now.

Description:

Choose your favorite painted portrait or famous photograph and combine yourselves with this image. The goal is to make the inclusion of yourself seamless. 


For the painting placement project, I used Adobe Photoshop to edit an image of Hulk Hogan's head onto a painting of Jesus.

PROJECT 8: SOMEWHERE

Description:

Place yourselves in an environment where you have never been. I will be paying close attention to the cutting and cleaning details. Pay close attention to lighting and shadows. 


For the somewhere project, I used Adobe Photoshop to edit a picture of myself into a beach scene.

PROJECT 7: AUTOSCOPY

Description:

Shoot random images of places or things. Explore layer effects + PS filters on these images. You must submit 10 final edited images. one must be a self portrait.


For the autoscopy project, I used new Adobe Photoshop skills in order to edit ten images.

Description:

Create a poster using your own image inspired by the examples shown in class and your own research using the automatic tracing tools.


For my poster project, I used all the skills and tools I have learned in Adobe Illustrator in order to create a poster with the Baltimore Ravens logo on it.

Description:

Choose an image of a fruit or vegetable with a white background from an internet image search. Then convert this object into vector shapes using gradient mesh and other advanced illustration techniques. 


For the gradient mesh project, I used new skills learned in Adobe Illustrator in order to recreate this image of a lemon.

Description:

Design 3 business card designs using your own logos. Designs must be two sided and further reflect the brand you began on Project 3.


For the business card project, I used Adobe Illustrator to form three different business card concepts to go with the logos I designed in the previous project.

Description:

Design 3 final versions of your own logo from 5 initial concepts.


For the logo project, I used Adobe Illustrator to create three logo concepts for Battlefield Foam Dart Arena.

PROJECT 2: CALLIGRAM

Description:

Create a Calligram in Apollinaire’s way. You do this first by creating a line art illustration. Then you will replace the lines with or fill the shapes with text. 


For my calligram project, I used Adobe Illustrator to form Gucci Mane lyrics into the shape of his ice cream tattoo.

PROJECT 1: CANVAS

Description:

Using any text editor, create a 
landscape or a portrait – it can be 
totally experimental – using the HTML5 CANVAS. It must contain AT LEAST 10shapes, including bézier and 
quadratic curves.



For my canvas project, I used HTML skills in Adobe Dreamweaver to create an abstract oceanic scene.
